The deeply regretted Artist Tareq Salah Eldin is mainly celebrated as a brilliant poet, however his artistic passion and sensivity and his love for music also allowed him to become an outstanding musician, singer and composer.

Since his early youth he admired the great artists of his time, mainly Selim Shaarawy from Lower Nubia (Southern Egypt) and Mohammed Wardi from the Southern Nubian Valley (Northern Sudan) as well as the famous artists who followed them, and went to all musical presentations, weddings and religious remembrance ceremonies, that all shared the same rhythms and musical foundings. As an attentive listener, Tareq wrote and memorized the lyrics, researched old Nubian words and expressions, and improved his musical skills playing Oud (lute), progressively creating his own poems and songs and singing them during artistic gatherings.

The wonderful Artist Tareq Salah Eldin soon recognized that to create outstanding art the collaboration between the poet, the singing artist and the musician is essential, as this gives him the opportunity to form an artistic workshop, review texts, performance and melodies, clarify the meanings, saturate the poem and surround it well, in order to optimize the artistic value of the song. His enthousiasm, sincerity and diligence pushed Tareq Salah Eldin to the very top of Nubian art and he became the reference whose songs are performed by leading Artists, mainly Ghazi Said, Khidhir El-Attar, and Ahmed Ismail, as well as Seid Ibrahim Qurty, his friend and admirer, who sings many of his songs and composed most of the melodies for Tareq Salah Eldin's wonderful poems.
