Mamdouh Bakhit - ممدوح بخيت

Le grand poète Mamdouh Bakhit Ali est né à Abou Simbel, en décembre 1963. Il n'avait que deux mois lorsque lui et sa famille ont été déplacés de son village d'origine, qui serait inondé et noyé par le lac Nasser formé derrière le haut barrage d'Assouan. Selon ses propres mots, ils ont été relogés du «paradis de Dieu» à «l'enfer de Wadi Kom Ombo».

Il a écrit sa première chanson avec un ami, alors qu'il était au lycée. Ses professeurs aimaient la Nubie et donnaient de l'importance à la langue nubienne, et en tant que délégué sportif de son école, Mamdouh Bakhit a eu des contacts avec des artistes de son village et a été attiré et influencé par les grands maîtres de la chanson et de la poésie nubiennes de son temps, Abdallah Semel, Seid Jaier et autres. À l'âge de 17 ans, il est allé au Caire à la recherche du brillant poète regretté Hussein Jaser , qui est devenu son père spirituel

Le "Poète des cœurs" Mamdouh Bakhit, comme on l'appelle avec amour pour ses chants d'amour profondément touchants, se soucie beaucoup de la préservation de la langue nubienne, et il se soucie de rechercher de vieux mots pour garder leur sens vivant et il décrit des situations avec des mots nubiens pour éviter d'utiliser l'arabe, qui a largement pénétré les générations de Nubiens déplacés. Comme la plupart des écrivains, poètes et chanteurs nubiens, il s'efforce d'enseigner le nubien à la jeune génération et de lui faire prendre conscience du patrimoine, des coutumes et des traditions nubiennes.

Mamdouh Bakhit a écrit les paroles de nombreuses belles chansons, rendues célèbres par les grands compositeurs qui ont enveloppé ses paroles dans de merveilleuses mélodies - comme le brillant artiste, musicien et compositeur Seid Ibrahim Qurty et Majdi Bata, qui interprètent aussi astucieusement ses chansons en les chantant et en les jouant, ainsi que Hisham Bata and Ahmed Himmet. Les autres artistes chanteurs les plus éminents interprétant ses chansons sont Adil Bata, Eid Suleiman, et Saber Kena, d'Abou Simbel, et Ghazi Said, Assem Khitam, ainsi que de jeunes artistes comme le charismatique Jiddo Seif, Ahmed Ismail, et Mohammed Yousef. Comme la plupart des autres Nubiens, le souhait du grand poète Mamdouh Bachit est de retourner dans ce qui reste des terres de l'ancienne Nubie, au bord du lac Nasser.
