The great Nubian Artist Hassan Jazouli was born in the village Qora, in Old Nubia's Eniba. When his family was forced to emigrate because of the construction of several dams that caused the drowning of his village of origin, they went to Cairo where he worked in various jobs, and later worked in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

Back in Egypt, Hassan Jazouli started his artistic career in 1952 with the famous Artist and Poet Abdo Mirghani, who wrote and composed many songs for Hassan Jazouli.

Hasan Jazouli was highly appreciated not only for his artistic talent, but also for his humanism, his passion for Nubian heritage and civilization and his optimistic hope for return of the Nubians to their lands of origin, which marked some of his songs, as well as emotional love songs. Hassan Jazouli also sang in London and Paris, to the joy of his Nubian fans living there.
