Amjad Saber - امجد صابر
Amjad Saber is a joung, talented and very prolific Nubian artist from the island of Sai in the Mahas region of Nubia (Northern Sudan.)
He was interested in singing and music since a young age, and while he studied English translation at the Sudanese University for Science and Technology as well as after his completion in 2009 he also followed music lessons with the Union of Artists, learning to play keyboard and oud and nay. Since 2011, Amjad Saber sang at all Nubian events and festivals, as well inside Sudan and Egypt as well as in the Arab Gulf, England and the Netherlands where he was invited by the regional Nubian communities.
Amjad sings Nubian heritage songs, as well as many songs written for him, some of which he composed himself. The charismatic young artist carries forward the message of love, the beauty of nature and the Nubian traditions as well as the Nubian longing for their drowned lands. Amjad is also loved by his broad public for his friendly and modest character and for sharing his songs with his audience, who actively participates in his artistic performance. Despite his young age he is a very professional artist, and also often appears on TV programs. Amjad loves to share songs with other artists and participate in artistic gatherings.
