Der bedauerte Tareq Salah Eldin aus dem Dorf Eniba ist ein hervorragender nubischer Dichter. Viele Nubier ehren ihn als Vater der zeitgenössischen nubischen Poesie, Kunst und Verteidigung der nubischen Bestrebungen nach einer verfassungsmäßig gewährten Rückkehr in die nubischen Länder und der Verhinderung einer weiteren Dezimierung , nachdem ein großer Teil vom künstlichen Nassersee überschwemmt wurde.

Nachdem er und seine Familie aus ihrem überschwemmten Herkunftsdorf auswanderten und seine Mutter, sein Bruder und seine jüngere Schwester im selben Jahr starben, sammelte der junge Tareq so viele Kassetten mit nubischen Liedern wie möglich und schrieb die Texte. Er las auch Gedichte der vielen Dichter aus den alten nubischen Dörfern, aber nur wenige wurden gesungen und die meisten gingen verloren. Tareq Salah Eldin analysierte die Reime und begann, sie zu ergänzen. Nach und nach schrieb er seine eigenen Gedichte, allerdings auf eine neue, unkonventionelle Weise und unter Verwendung alter nubischer Wörter, die nach der Auswanderung vom Assterben bedroht waren.

Um Arbeit zu finden, wanderte Tareq Salah Eldin nach Riad in Saudi-Arabien aus. Er sandte seinen Verwandten einige Kassetten mit seinen Gedichten und Melodien, und der nubische Künstler Eissa Tamim sang sein erstes Gedicht - "Ghurba" oder "Fremde". Nachdem er schließlich nach Ägypten zurückgekehrt war, begann er eine sehr kreative und produktive Zusammenarbeit, hauptsächlich mit den wunderbaren Künstlern Ghazi Said, Khidhir El-Attar, und Ahmed Ismail die viele seiner Gedichte singen und Seid Ibrahim Qurty , sein Freund un Bewunderer, der einige seiner Lieder singt und viele Melodien zu seinen Gedichten komponierte, und die Virtuosität seiner Gedichte verstärken. Tareq Salah Eldin selbst sang auch selbst seine Gedichte während künstlerischer Zusammenkünfte, spielte Oud (luthe) und komponierte selbst einige Melodien für seine Gedichte.

Tareq Salah Eldin wurde bekannt für seine herausragenden Gedichte, die tiefe Gefühle, farbenfrohe Beschreibungen und beeinflussende Botschaften beinhalten - alles in kunstvollen Reimen. Zur Traurigkeit der nubischen Gemeinschaft starb er 2016 im jungen Alter von 56 Jahren. Sein unglaubliches Kunstwerk wird jedoch unvergesslich bleiben und ist ein helles Licht für zeitgenössische und zukünftige nubische Künstler und seine Lieder hallen weiter in den Herzen und Gedanken der größten nubischen Sängern.
