Ahmed Seid Gayer, the son of the famous late Nubian Artist of the 20th century Seid Gayer - who pioneered the preservation and revival of the Nubian song and heritage - was born into a privileged environment of artistic activity.
Since his youngest age Ahmed Gayer was immerged into the traditional Nubian singing traditions - where the main artist sings a verse and is accompanied by his audience who repeats it - and enjoyed the beautiful "Arageed" dance listeners dance in honor of the artist and to express their deep feelings.
The young Ahmed Gayer soon joined his Father's "Arageed" dance troupe and chorale. Beside keeping alive his Father's songs and heritage, as well as traditional Nubian songs, Ahmed Gayer also sings many songs about the beauty of Old Nubia, the nostalgy of the lost lands, and various social traditions. Ahmed Gayer prefers singing at artistic gatherings, sharing his art with most of the great contemporary Nubian artists.
