عادل باطا
Adil Bata from Abu Simbel was born into a family of artists, singers, composers and musicians, and had the love for singing and music in his blood - and in his environment. He loved to sing with his friends, even as a child, and the whole village community was listening to him and enjoying. The great late Artist Seid Jamal encouraged him to sing at weddings, and to get used to the stage. Later he sang with the famous Nubian musician Shams Hussein.
Adil Bata's sweet voice and melodious songs, together with the wonderful expression of his feelings and love for beautiful art, are perfect to express romantic songs, and songs describing the beautiful Nubian nature.
Adil Bata became a favorite Artist since many years, immortilizing Nubian heritage songs and some songs of his Father, the famous Artist of the late century Abdallah Bata - but he created his own innovative and creative style. Adel Bata not only regrets Old Nubia and its happy community life, he also feels that the interest for art has faded and been partially replaced by commercial rhythmic songs without depth. Like all Nubian Artists, Adil Bata encourages the young generation to focus on the real soul, wisdom and elaboration of the Nubian Artistic Heritage.
