Hussein Jaser was born in Old Nubia, in the village of "Genine u Shabak", surrounded by palm trees and green nature and nurtured by the Nile, a village that produced several great artists, among whom the late great poet Ramadhan Al-Shorbaji. Since his early youth he loved Nubian songs and memorized traditdional songs as well as the melodies of the great Nubian artists of his time.
Since the 1960s, Husein Jaser wrote beautiful and meaningful poems, and composed inspiring melodies bridging the traditional Nubian song to the era of the artistic son, that earned him the title of "Sindbad of the Word"; many of them are still sung today by various artists.
According to the words of the brilliant Nubian artist, musician, composer and poet Seid Ibrahim Qurty:"The poet Hussein Gasser made wonderful tunes and works of art characterized by creativity and constant renewal, and that was something new and innovative at that time using easy and beautiful vocabulary. "
The brilliant poet and composer Hussein Jaser is celebrated ad a great master of the Nubian poesy and composition, and his works of art were sung by most of the famous artists of his time, including the late Khidhir El-Attar, Saber Asker, Selim Shaarawy, Seid Jamal, Saleh Abbas, Abdallah Bata, as well as Adil Bata, Fikry Al-Kashef, Farah Almasry, Al Balabil, and also Fethy Khalil and Fahmy Abdel Khaleq. Several of Hussein Jaser's songs - like the famous song "Shamandoura" - are sung by the internationally renowned Artist Mohammed Mounir, and the great late Artist Ahmed Mounib as well as Abdelrahim Mansour wrote lyrics in Arabic to some of his melodies.
