Farah Al Masry, from the Nubian village of Ballana, is a great and talented Nubian Artist who represents the traditional Nubian song. His Father, his Grandfather and Brother were all artists, and they supported his artistic ambitions since his young age. His career started with the late great Artists Ali Koban, Khidhir El Attar and Shams Hussein.
In 1986 he published his first album, and was promoted by the famous Shams Hussein and Ali Koban. Farah Al Masry sings Nubian Heritage songs, but also songs about the beauty of drowned Old Nubia as well as romantic and "Arageed" songs. Farah also gave concerts in Rome (Italy), and in Germany in Berlin and various countries of the Arabian Gulf.
The wonderful Artist Farah Almasry likes to pay tribute to the great Masters of the Nubian song, to share with other Nubian artists and to pass on the traditional Nubian song to the new generation. He is also a strong supporter of Nubian Art, and asks Nubian Art to take a larger part in cultural broadcasts and on the stage, and to Nubians to teach their children the Nubian language and explain them their culture and heritage.
